Sonoma Commentator announces “Joseph Burton-Harris annihilates the field”

Joseph Burton-Harris WINS both races at the NASA Formula Car Challenge – Sonoma Raceway. The fans may have expected some quality driving in the penultimate round of the Indycar Championship, however, the Formula Car Challenge put on an equally thrilling show.

JBH Qualified pole in Formula Mazda with a 1:39:219 and went on to win Race 1 with a fastest lap time 7 tenths faster than the next driver Tazio Ottis, an experienced Sonoma Raceway competitor.

Race 2 began with a faster Qualifying pole time for Joseph Burton-Harris at 1:39:020 again going on to WIN Race 2 with a fastest lap time of 1:39:190 on lap 12 of 13 laps. This was 6 tenths faster than his nearest rival Tazio Ottis, the local favourite.

Sonoma is a very technical 2.52 mile track where local knowledge would have been a real asset. The rookie driving at Sonoma for the very first time for Moses Smith Racing out of Cresson Texas showed the fans that he is definitely a driver of the future for IndyCar with commentators calling it ‘a total annihilation of the field by Joseph Burton-Harris’.
